Feature Illustration for Canadian Lawyer
Here is a full pager done for Canadian Lawyer about lawyers who can't stop themselves from dipping into
the money being held in their trust accounts. The story had a dramatic account of a Montreal Lawyer's house being burned to the ground - supposedly by the victims of such a crime, but a broader focus was chosen by the powers that be. Fun assignment, thanks to AD William Hunter.

First day teaching!
Tomorrow is my first day teaching at the yet unamed not-for-profit art school for youth with barriers to access. This project is really the brainchild of my lady, Sara Sniderhan, and will be run in partnership with St Stephen's Community house out of their location in the Kensington market.
I'll be teaching an illustration course for grade 7 and 8's this spring and couldn't think of a better way to start than with this tonal studies project I first saw on illustrator Jillian Tamaki's blog here
Great fun to do, and really helps for making balanced images. Here's my version

New book for Annick Press
Well... I have 33 black and white illustrations in the hopper for a new book for Annick Press. The book is a collection of 13 accounts of severe anxiety as experienced by young people, by writer and filmmaker Polly Wells.
Due out September 2013, so a break-neck turn around!

Cover for THIS Magazine!
Really enjoyed doing this cover for This Mag's Jan/Feb Issue. Told to just riff on the theme of "how to do stuff"
Thanks to AD Dave Donald. Really liked the black type treatment on the mock-up at the bottom.

New work for Ingram Gallery
Just dropped these two new pieces off at the Ingram gallery. Loved using just pencil and watercolour on these. Super excited about talk of a solo show in 2014! SShhhh!

Disinherited
Here's a recent one for Canadian Lawyer magazine about a bitter old lady who wanted to disinherit her son who "had always been a poor reader."

Rachel Berman
I made this image as part of "Lost and Found", a community arts project designed and organized by my lovely wife. I was thrilled to be tasked with illustrating a story contributed by one of Canada's greatest living painters: Rachel Berman. More details about the project: here

Helper T cells
Here's a recent one for Alberta Research News Magazine. AD'd by Lara Minja from Lime Design. Story was about helper T-cells being out of control, and needing training to be an effective front line for the immune system. Wish the "Cobra Kai" direction had been chosen, but alas...
